Have been here twice...once with a buddy and once with my 94 year old mother. Both times it was great. The food is a real discovery...I think the head chef was formally trained and has worked in some pretty impressive places. He actually came over and answered all of our questions. Anyway, this place is a real gem and is more than worth the ride down Rt. 7 from Binghamton or from other places a lot farther away.

My family and I travel to Utica, NY a couple times a year to visit family, and we stop at The Hitching Post every time. Great retaurant! The owner's are great people! I would recommend this restaurant to EVERYONE!

Nice restaurant. Very comfortable setting. Casual wear is fine. Very good salad bar.
