Our experience started with an appetizer which was very very bad. Gaucamole and chips...the guacomole had HUGE chunks of onions. And it was tasteless. I ordered a drink that took about 20 minutes to arrive. Then about 30 minutes after that our food came. True, you should not probably order Mexican food at this type of place, but my husband did, and it was BAD! I was safe and ordered a club sandwich, which they couldnt screw up too bad. Basically, the place is all about the atmosphere and definately not the food. It's totally overpriced and I would not recommend it to anyone.

The food was the worst I have ever had at a resteraunt. The prime rib was tough and tasted like shoe polish, or a like a smokey-flavor gone horribly wrong. The brownie in my brownie sundae tasted freezer-burned. It made me wonder if the prime rib had been frozen too. They gave us fake margarine instead of butter, which was flavorless. The person next to me said their cole slaw was the worst they ever had. DON'T EAT HERE.

El Corral presents a good value when you're a'hankerin' for meat 'n potatoes 'n white bread. It's almost always crowded with both locals and referrals. The walls of the rambling beamed adobe rooms are arranged with vintage western studio photos (the ...

There was a time when the food was good at this place but it is a waste of money now. The menu has drastically changed and they have cut out all the favorites such as the cheese crisp, good rolls, great salads, and entrees like bbq chicken on the bone and replaced it with a boring skinless, boneless, boring, flavorless chicken breast. The new ownership has changed the restaurant so much negatively that it may have the same name but it is nowhere near the quality Hidden Valley Inn there once was when Larry Colligan owned it. Bring back Larry!
