East Elmhurst Restaurant Guide

Hi.This restaurant transports you to a Caribbean island with it's authentic thatched roof'walls,handwoven chairs and tables.It has outdoor dining in a non-congested area.It is easily accessed by public transportation.It has valet parking.The service is excellent.The assortment and quality of drinks are very good.My "El Loco Coco" was served in an actual coconut.The chairs take some getting used to but it is a small price to pay for great ambiance,food and service.I had the White Snapper in some sort of chile and almond sauce .Loved it.The rice was also very good.I tasted my wife's steak with onions and also we hit the jackpot.We ended the night with a drink called "El
Vulcan".This drink is designed for 2 people to drink.It is served in a very large chilled container with a small recess in the middle that holds 151 bacardi that is lit by the waiter.You are given extremely long straws for both to sip with.We barely finished the drink.
This place is a must.Do it!!!!
