We've been driving up to Valley Springs from Elk Grove for several years specifically to eat at Good Friends. We found it by accident on a trip to through Valley Springs, & my family loved it so much that we keep going back! It's a nice outing for us & the best Chinese food we've found anywhere. It's always nice & hot & not greasy at all, which is usually my concern at buffets. Their General Chicken is TOPS! Of course the service is friendly & helpful, too.
We found this by accident. We were on our way home from touring the California Caverns. Execellent chinese restaurant, we loved the variety of seafoods. Excellent!!! Would recommend to anyone interested in a buffet style meal.

Pretty good food, service is always nice. they are helpful, but not intrusive. Ambience leaves a little to be desired because it is always so busy, it makes for a lot of noise. Price is resonable for chinese food, and the take out is amazing. Small note: the take out containers are microwavable...I really like that, may not be important to everyone, but when you have a lot of left overs, it comes in handy! ;)
Decent place. Food is good, the staff are nice and kid friendly. I think the price is a little high for the buffet, but they are the only game in town so it's a supply and demand factor and they seem to always be busy.

It was o.k. the severs do not talk a lot. They make me feel like they are talking about me when they speak chinese.I would like them to make better food too.
