The service here can be a bit slow, but the food here is the best in Durham! Try any one of the outstanding seafood, steak, or pasta dishes, and you will not be disappointed. They have a great raw bar, too, if you want a dozen oysters to start off. One of their best features is their sushi bar, which offers the biggest and best maki (rolls) in town. One note of warning, though, when the restaurant gets busy (pretty much every weekend), the sushi chef sometimes won't take orders from the main restaurant - so you eat an entire meal of sushi at the bar or none at all. Still, this restaurant is one of the best in Durham - it's as nice as it gets while remaining completely casual.
I have eaten here several times with family members over the past 3 years and the food and service has always been very good. The staff has always been friendly and polite. Never had a bad experience.
Incredible dinner and excellent service. Had a big group on a Friday night, belly dancer was fun and restaurant had a lot of life to it. Recommend strongly!!!
It's not easy to find a really good Mom 'n Pop shop in the Triangle Area. JJFish and Chicken serves generous portions of homemade food for a fair price.
The fish is awesome and the chicken nuggents/tenders are homemade (not parts)
Worst dining experience, lamb was overcooked and tasted terrible, up all night with stomach discomfort, called restraurant but manager never returned call
I have made C&H my number one place to eat for lunch. I can get a home cooked meal for the same price I would pay for a fast food meal. I usually pay around $5.00 a meal, less if I want the chicken tender salad or a veggie plate (less than $4.00).
