My friend and I went in tonight. She had been there before, but was my first time. The server had advised me that the "special" tonight was Risotto with asparagus and sauteed garlic shrimp. I have to say that I was definitely more than pleased with the presentation, food, and service. The presentation of the plates were beautiful and made the food look wonderful, the service was excellent, and the food was amazing!
I agree below, it's a cozy place to get great food for not alot of money. And the fact that the previous rater's waitress helped assist the child says alot. I've been in a similar situation where my child was not even acknowledged.
Kudos!

Because of the review from the previous person I almost did not go; However, several points of her attack did not make sense. If she worked at a restaurant she would know that all meat shrinks during cooking and a steak that begins as 6-7 oz will shrink 1-2 oz...everywhere. This is not magic, it is basic reality. The fact they helped her with her child made me believe this was a place I wanted to see for myself. The cross contamination of the baby bottle alone did not make sense for them to heat it up in their microwave. Again, something the previous "rater" should have known. Sounds like she just wanted to voice her "experience" rather than opinion. So we went just after Labor Day weekend. This is not a fancy restaurant. It is a low priced fare on the same level as maybe a coco's or denny's. It is a family eatery. For what it is and the quality of the food, as well as the wonderful people, I say this is a place you should go for mid-week dining. It offeres exactly what it states in the menu for a very good price. We ordered the same exact thing as in the previous rating and found it to be a fine meal. This is no frills middle of the week dining at its best. I have referred this place to several friends and family and we all agree, this is a great place when you don't want to spend alot of money and don't feel like fast food, cooking or clean up. Give it a go. I am sure you will like it!
To my surprise, the food was awful! I have been a regular customer for years. I understand ownership has changed. If your looking for a good meal don't go. If anyone has information on previous owner of Gram's Mission BBQ please post. Looking, Lookin

Lobster bisque, Porterhouse, Chop salad, bannnana's foster...outstanding! Most flavorful steak i have ever had! Martinis were perfectly done. I have stayed at the Mission Inn for almost 20 years and never ate at Duane's...i have been missing out.
A great place to eat, especially for a special occasion. Went their for a six month aniversary and received a complementary chocolate cake (that was delicious) The food was expensive, the bill, including tip, reached 125, but what a steak. I order

i was excited to try this new place but my excitement soon turned to disgust once we got our food it was so horrible i had filet mignon my husband had the new york steak both pieces were smaller then the waitress told us she said they were 6-7 oz they were more like 4-5 oz the presentation was so bad a piece of meat on a plate w/ a knife & your choice of a side dish we both had a baked potato w/ "everything" on it "everything" was butter no sour cream or chives just butter the meat did not taste all that good either i work at a restaurant & i now have a greater appreciation for presentation i was extremely disappointed w/ this experience especially for the amount of money we spent there we walked in hungry & left hungry for what we got it would have been better if we went to mcdonalds two nice things about the place it has a kids menu & the waitress warmed up my daughters bottle other then that we will NEVER EVER go back again at least we can say we tried it once & would NEVER recommend it not even to an enemy
