Until yesterday (14 Jul 08) the best fish & chips I had ever had came out of a small village in North Wales, UK. But it is a lot closer for me to get to Canada from Seattle so I was very happy to find an equally fantastic fish & chips in Crescent Beach, BC at the Fishnet. A sign in the window welcomed back the original owner, Joe Martino, who did prepare my cod & chips order. Welcome back Joe, your preparation was fantastic. The English style, light tempera batter, was crispy and light and the fish mouth wateringly tender (cut thin). The chips were homemade and crispy just as I like it. I can't get fish and chips this good in Seattle but it's good to know I don't have to go all the way to Wales to get the best.
