Fisherman's Galley has been serving Modesto for over 23 years. We are the best kept secret when it comes to seafood. Dine with us and you'll see why we constantly earn high accolades from our regular customers.
Founder Roy Chang a Modesto Native founded Fisherman's Galley with wife Francis. Their goal was to provide a high end Seafood restaurant in the Valley while keeping a great price point for their customers. It seemed like a tall order to fill, but Roy and Francis Chang have been doing it for over 20 years now. Great Seafood at Great Prices.

This restaurant is one of Modesto's oldest restaurants. It once was the place to go in town and was very busy. We watched the Fishermans business go way down in a matter of months, just a few years ago. The regular cook of many years quit and the owner did the cooking thereafter. What a mistake! The food remained the same, excellent, but the amount of time it took to get dinner went from 15 minutes to an hour or more to get dinner. The atmosphere is antiquely elegant. The waitstaff are usually long term professional Food servers and are excellent. The owner lady out front is strangely abrasive and not very friendly. She is not at all professional. I would recommend eating at this establishment as you will get a fine meal and will most likely be dining alone.
