Oliver and Rose McElhone, proud owners, opened Fiddler's Green Irish Pub & Restaurant in 1991. This family owned and operated business has an unrelenting focus to keep the business both authentic and traditional while providing friendly service and great food. Many menu items are decided on by the origin and imported Irish foods are used in many dishes. The success and delicacy of the menu is attributed to the owners vow to use only fresh produce and fish, and aged meat.

Most of the staff comes from Ireland and both owners have strong connections to their homeland. Rose was born in San Francisco to Irish parents and spent many summers in Galway and Roscommon, which is where she acquired a taste for fresh fish from Galway Bay. A taste she had searched for back in the Bay but was not able to find until she opened Fiddler's. Her husband, Oliver, was born in County Derry where he was surrounded by many Irish traditions and sports. His love for sports is evident in Fiddler's, where you can watch just about any sport you like. Oliver played Gaelic Football locally in Derry and dedicates much of his time to coaching and promoting the sport in San Francisco. Although Gaelic Football is Oliver's first love, after many years living in America he has come to love the American sports also. No matter the time of year of the sport, there is always something playing on either the big screen or our HDTV's. As for any of you soccer fans, Fiddler's Green prides itself on being the home to the official "San Francisco Celtic Supporters Club" where you can watch all the live games.
