elle is Tucson's "First and Only" Wine Country Restaurant. Here you'll delight in fresh, familiar fare, with a twist! elle's inspired cuisine is accompanied by a progressive and thoughtfully-composed Wine list. In September of 1998, two gentlemen opened elle at 3048 E. Broadway in the historic Broadway Village building designed by famed Tucson architect, Josias Joesler. Accented by lush patios and conveniently located to just about anywhere, Elle was renowned for its wine-inspired fare, which emphasized French, Italian and Northern Californian cuisines. The restaurant's namesake, elle, was the beautiful grandmother (and quite excellent cook) of the original chef. To prepare food as fine as she is a compliment indeed and it remains so. But, since January 2005, under the sole direction of Jeff Fuld, new Owner and Chef, elle now offers an even more comprehensive, expanded and worldly - yet approachable menu, and its International and Imaginative Wine list features over 200 wines by the bottle and 30 wines by the glass. Jeff 's expertise in wine choices makes it easier and more pleasing for guests to select properly for their meal.
Lunch and dinner menus at elle change seasonally. Each change reflects the finest ingredients and recipes from around the world and across multiple and varied wine-producing regions. Organically produced, locally grown items are featured year 'round. elle's fresh salads enjoy Arizona-grown spring greens, arugula, radicchio, cherry tomatoes, and onions. Entrees may be accompanied by home-farmed haricot verts, baby carrots, baby beets, winter squash, zucchini, or even on occasion the more off-beat okra or chard! Asian melons likewise are offered in season. Showcasing seasonal items and menus which change three times annually, elle also features many organically-produced, locally-grown herbs, fruits and vegetables from Forever Yong Farm.
