My family and I went to this restaurant (ARVADA location) - for the first time. When we were done eating we gave the waiter our debt card to pay and the waiter came back and said he ran it through 4 times and it said declined each time. We than gave the waiter cash to pay the bill. We checked (we knew we had money) our account on our phone and the account indicated that the transaction had gone through our bank so we asked to talk to the manager. When he came over he was rude and would not look at her phone and indicated they had computer problems and that they could not print out a receipt for the debt card transaction so that he did not know what to tell us and to bring in the bank statement when we got it and they would take care of it. When we indicated that this meant we paid for our meal twice he said I do not know what to tell you. We said can we talk to someone else and he said the owner was not there but they would can him and they did and even though he supposedly was not there he appeared from the back in about 5 - 10min. and he never came to our table but from a distance pointed at our table with anger and cussed us out in spanish (by the way no one that worked there could speak or understand English real well). Finally after he was yelling at the employees and making a scene the manager came over and gave my daughter her $35 in cash back but indicated this was our fault and we made a scene and he would like to say sorry but it was not the restaurants fault. As we got up to leave the owner followed us out and confronted us angrily and said we were basically trying to rip him off, he was cussing, etc. As we went out the door we said we would not be back and also tell people about how bad the service was (to be honest the food was not real good, the portions small and it was way overpriced) and he said he did not care he had other restaurants and he did not need our business. I have never experience anything like this before and we were totally degraded and made to feel like we were the bad guys. This place is a joke and I would recommend Los Arcos as that is a real Mexican food restaurant with excellent food, great, friendly service, should have known!
