Fillmore Restaurant Guide

I love this place! Not only because it is in my hometown but it's really a great place to eat and have a drink...my fave -the 'micheladas' which are made with your favorite beer. I come here at least once a week with my kids or sometimes to meet my friends to do some catching up. The service is great and I've never had a problem with the food. It's usually always prompt and not to mention delicious. I highly recommend El Pescador to everyone!

Wonderful place to eat. This restaurant is in my opinion the best Traditional and Original Mexican Restaurant in the Santa Clarita and Ventura county. I have visited many places and believe me this is the best. I was born and raised in Mexico and I have tried the best and original Mexican food. This is truly the only restaurant who's food tastes just like the one back home. Beautiful atmosphere and exceptional service. It is very clean and service is amazing. The owner and staff are always greeting the guests and makes several rounds to see how everything is going. We live in Santa Clarita but we love to visit this place anytime we have a chance.

My wife and I stopped in as we were out enjoying the day and shopping at the local fruit-stands.

We've been to a ton of Mexican restaurants from Ventura to the Santa Clarita Valley and I have to say I was very impressed with El Pescador.

We met the owner Chuy as he was everywhere in the restaurant, greeting the customers, over-seeing the staff and even helping to bus tables when it was busy. Something you don't usually see.

Chuy was very polite and very able to sell us on food choices as he was very enthusiastic and proud of all of the dishes (as well as his margaritas!)lol...

We ordered the Fajitas Al Pescador (chicken, steak & shrimp), wow. Amazing flavor and a very well presented plate. It came with rice and beans and fresh tortillas. The chicken and steak were so tender and the shrimp was well marinated. All were served with grilled bell peppers (red, yellow and green), green onions and jalapeno.

The mango and strawberry margaritas were exceptional.

We truly enjoyed our experience at El Pescador and will more than likely make it a two to four stop destination each month (with friends in tow).

All the food that passed looked very tasty and appealing to the eye and stomach.

Chuy and his family will succeed with this business because they all have the right idea. Appreciate the customer, serve a quality product, value the customers opinion and enjoy what you do. They enjoy it and it shows.
