One of the most popular brunch spots in San Francisco has just opened for dinner. Scott Simms has brought a new touch of class to Doidge's by designing a superb new, brasserie style menu. Selections are limited, but every one of them is on the menu for a reason- they are all worth going back for. Not to miss are the duck confit and the pork, both of which will make you 'ooh' and 'aah' with delight. His specialty is foie gras, which I challenge any restaurant in the city to beat. Not even Boulevard holds a candle to it. Scott has used his experience at Aquerello, Zuni and Azie to bring some magic to his plates. They will be served with a smile- very cute place for great conversation and a little romance.

RECOMMENDED DISHES: Pork, Duck confit, lobster appetizer, foie gras, cherry galette

I ate here when I worked in the Financial District of San Francisco. There were always long lines of hungry Office workers. The Chicken Teriyaki was the best. I plan to stop by to eat here when I visit San Francisco. Stephen
