The best vegetarian food I have ever eaten.
It’s a small, cozy spot, with limited space, but aren’t those always the best?
What was especially good about this new place is that it’s not vegetarian food in the way you would expect it, which is why it appealed to even me. The chef cares more about cooking good food than making sure you're healthy, which is the angle most vegetarian restaurants take. Their unique, experimental dishes offered me relief, when I was concerned about being faced with a menu full of celery sticks and salads.
It’s strategically located right outside of alphabet city in the lower east side and offers up a healthy menu (literally) with delicious surprises.
