One terrible experience! Menu is seductive, but misleading. "free range chicken" must have walked from pen, stuffed with goat cheese it was dry and tastless, sitting atop a "coulis" (sundried tomatoes straight from the jar, oil and all) which was atop wilted spinach and woody mushrooms. Roasted potatoes were moldy and not roasted but cubed and baked. Prime rib-eye (?) and filets were abused, oversalted and dry. Rib-eyes were thin. Mashed potatoes oversalted. Seared tuna was good, but garnish of oriental noodles had been fried in too-cold oil, dripping it. Service was surly, and for a party of 22 who left nearly 2k there, we did not get a thank you or even a smile. Rolls were dry and tastless, certainly not made in the kitchen. Horrible experience overall, and very, very expensive. DON'T GO!~
My family dined here several years ago. We were driving home from a family reunion. We asked the hotel where we could get a good steak and he recommended Punchy's. We loved the entire experience. We met the owner, a former boxer, who took us on a tou

I was a waiter at POETS from 1973 - 1975. What a cool placeto work. Bubba Spencer ran the place, Michael G served up music while we served up steak marainade, scampi, and poets burgers. Rick, the night maganer was the best, and Rusty, the day manager

We were there for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. The dining expeirence was dismal and disappointing. The service was almost non-existant. We had to track our waiter down for everything. We were seated,15 people with resevations, and were not even given menus. It took 45 minutes just to be able to place an order then it took an hour and 40 minutes for the food to come out. The food was brought to us cold. The food was not worth what they charged. I really thought our waiter had quit because at one point for over 1 hour we never saw him at all.We should have done what several other patrons did and get up and leave! I am truly shocked that a place that has been in business this long survives conducting business like this. They lost a lot of customers this night. I know we will never go back.
