Diner reviews of Country Kitchen Family Restaurant
A diner from Long Island, NY
May 22, 2010
Country Kitchen is a “neighborhood restaurant”-style franchise, similar to IHOP or Friendly's, but not quite up to that level in food quality or service. The decor is very simple, with a patriotic country theme, and the dining room was clean, though we could have done without the rechargeable carpet sweeper-armed staffer repeatedly buzzing our table while we ate.) We used to regularly have breakfast and dinner at this restaurant, for more than twenty years, but stopped a few years ago, when a general decline in food quality and customer appreciation outweighed the convenience of its location, and our force of habit. We recently tried it again, partly because of a long wait at IHOP, and partly because of the franchisor’s “Free Entree on Your Birthday” promotion, but the visit only confirmed our previous assessment: The dining room was still very clean, but half-empty at dinnertime on a Friday night; the food quality was average/just okay; and the management was still inept and rude.

A diner from North Massapequa, NY
Apr 19, 2002
Visited restaurant in Massapequa for my husbands birthday. Three people, myself, my mother and my husband were escorted to a seat promptly. Informed our waiter Adam would be with us shortly. After 10-20 minutes no water or waiter had come. A family of 6 with children came in while we were still waiting. A baby seat was given to them promptly along with a waitress who took their order immediately. After witnessing this, I got up and informed this waitress how unhappy I was and shocked to be ignored like this (something that never happened like this before). We left. How would you have handled this?
