I have eaten here on and off for 20-something years. Recently, since I started living near the place, I have eaten there more often. I have had terrible service more often than not. During, at least, the last six visits I have had something in error with my order. Granted, all have been to go orders, but that shouldn't make a difference. I can't understand how even a bad restaurant could consistently make errors with orders. I think the ambiance is the biggest draw here, mostly being able to sit on the patio next to busy 11th Street. Hmmm, I guess you got to get your ambiance where you can. I am very disappointed with Chula Vista. I wish the service was better because it's close to where I live and it would be a cool bar to hang out at -- it's hard to screw up a beer or prepared margaritas.

Come on it's Mexiacan Food! and Chula Vista is an institution like a Chuiy's in Houston. The waiters are dealing with people who eat 5$ lunches so they have to be wary of the general public!!! Plus all the chip eaters. The food is awesome, the bar is packed and they are a local family with long time employees. If they dish you an attitude you should be nicer to them. They are sweet to me but I tip more at really inexpensive places so they stay around!!

I don't understand why this place is so popular. The food is marginal. The service is horrific.

I go to the HBH on Calder at 2:45. The lady said all the food was put up because they close at 3:00. It is only 2:45 and it is not like I needed them to cook something. Isn't a restaurant supposed to serve food up unti
