Cheebebuger Cheeburger is one of the better values for casual dining on Sanibel. The menus are kid friendly as well as appealing to the adult palate. As the name implies they have great cheeseburgers. They also have chickenand fish on the menu. I have yet to try those entrees _ I go for the big, wonderful burgers. All of the side dishes are excellent also (try the frings). The hand dipped milk shakes are to die-for. Try the Heath Bar milkshake. The wait staff was attentive and polite. The prices were reasonable- remember everything on the island is more expensive. I applaud the management for posting the peanut oil sign on the door. This shows they are aware of food allergies as well as America's obesity problem. Cooking without oils that include transfat is commendable. I don't belive that most restaurants publish this information as readily as Cheeburger,Cheeburger does. Keep up the good work!!!!

We were with 2 families, 13 of us all together, and we were very excited to eat at Cheeburger Cheeburger. We drove from Bonita Springs to Sanibel Island. My sister in law had gift certificates for the restaurant, so we were all excited to eat there, and looking forward to a good burger! We came to the restaurant and were greeted with a warning posted on the door, that everything was fried in PEANUT OIL!! We were shocked first of all, how this could be, and put a huge halt on our eating experience, due to the fact that we have a daughter with a peanut allergy. Therefore we would not set foot in a place like that! It said on some reviews that this is a kid friendly place, well i would have to disagree strongly. I think this restaurant is behind in the times when it comes to using PEANUT OIL in their cooking methods. There are so many kids and even adults these days with severe life threatening peanut/nut allergies. Even just the sent of peanuts can cause a fatal reaction. It was a huge disappointment to everyone, and we were stuck with gift certificates that we could not use.
I have to preface this saying we didn't go to the Sanibel resturaunt, but rather the one on Ft. Myers beach. The sea food was delicious. We had mahi mahi, mussels, cheveche, and the Yucatan peel and eat shrimp. Everything was fresh and delicious. Sea
