My family has eaten there or taken home suppers many times. This is the best soul food I've ever had, and I've had a lot of it. Plus, this cooking is healthy! And the proprietors are living examples of why Asheville is called America's Friendliest City. For Southern comfort food at its best and at bargain prices, you can't beat Chameleon. My family now make it at least a weekly habit.

Today I had the best baby-back ribs of my life here. The sides are also good, and the fried chicken sets the standard, as far as I'm concerned. Highly recommended if you're in the Asheville area and like good food.
