Restaurant Description

CHAMELEON is southern soul cooking down home like grandma would make, crispy fried chicken, fluffy biscuits, creamy mashed potatoes with brown gravy and collard greens that would make you want to slap you knee, and say more please!

CHAMELEON is the place where your troubles are not allowed to enter in. It is a place where you transform and experience goodness through, southern soul cooking.

My family has eaten there or taken home suppers many times. This is the best soul food I've ever had, and I've had a lot of it. Plus, this cooking is healthy! And the proprietors are living examples of why Asheville is called America's Friendliest City. For Southern comfort food at its best and at bargain prices, you can't beat Chameleon. My family now make it at least a weekly habit.

My brother and I ride Harleys across the united states every year around the third week in June. We almost always route ourselves thru Asheville to eat at the Moose Restaurant to get their biscuts and gravy. This year we will see you in April.

Today I had the best baby-back ribs of my life here. The sides are also good, and the fried chicken sets the standard, as far as I'm concerned. Highly recommended if you're in the Asheville area and like good food.
