I took my wife for her first visit and she loved it. The chicken pâté with pickles and toast that was on the table when we arrived was excellent. The chef salad with roasted pear, blue cheese crumbles and blueberry honey was the best I have ever had in my life. I could taste all the individual ingredients all at once as if they had been eaten seperately. Judith recommended Saintsbury Pinot Noir with my Beef Wellington and Groth Chardonnay with my wife's Veal Baltimore. This was the first time I have ever had wine with a meal and it was amazing. The key lime, white chocolate cheese cake was excellent as well as the Boston Cream Pie. Rodney was a knowledgable and very friendly waiter. My wife wants me to take her back for her birthday from now on, she said it was the best idea I have had since we have been married. Thanks Judy!

Our party of 4 enjoyed the wine, music and atmosphere in the garden at Carriage House. As for the food, overall, I would have rated it average. However, when the pork chop entree was presented to my husband, he immediately detected a foul odor. The rest of us agreed that it smelled very unpleasant. He then took a bite to be sure and quickly spit it out. We notified the server of the problem who, apologetically, took the entree back to the kitchen. She returned to tell us that, yes, according to the chef who sampled the questionable pork, agreed that the meat was rancid. As strong as the odor was, this should have been detected when the meat was removed from the package. There was no compensation offered for our unfortunate experience...just a verbal apology. So, while the rest of us reluctantly finished our meal, my husband simply ate a salad. Our experience at Carriage House was disappointing.

Absolutely wonderful! We were there last night to celebrate Valentine's Day (yes, a day late) for your dinner for 2. Purchased the coupon on Living Social so we could try out something new. It was unbelievable and well worth the drive from Goshen. ...

This is more of a take out restuarant - They should have a menu online. Their quality is very good.

The service was awful. The waitress was unfamiliar with the menu so she didn't offer soup/salad with entree. We had to ask. She didn't bring dipping sauce with gyoza (she kept pronouncing it goyza) and you could hear her yelling at the cooks every t ...

If you get a chance visit The Skillet. They have the best broasted chicken and great fresh bread. The Staff is very friendly. My family enjoys every visit. We have never had bad service.
