I live two blocks way from CAFETERIA on west 18th Street and probably eat there at least four times a week. The place open, and busy, 24/7 and consideriing the options for late night dining downtown I cant remeber what I did before it opened! The prices are in line with what most diners charge but CAFETERIA's spin on comfort food puts it in another catogory altogehther. It is, for the most part, excellent, and most importantly consistant. The clean lines of the decor featurnig and a wall of glass garage door's, which are opened in the Summer monhs, ony add to CAFETERIA's quintessentially NY vibe. In short its a classic in the making.

THE CAFETERIA IS A GOOD PLACE FOR A TYPICAL NYC NITE ON THE TOWN...DIM LIGHTS, COOL MUSIC...RELAXING ENVIRONMENT. AND THE FOOD IS D-LICIOUS...

Tables are too close together and small. Service was slow. Flatbread with mushrooms was really good though.
