Crazy little Italian dive. Nino Bongiourno is from Messina. Owned a successful pizza place in Bensonhurst, brooklyn for years but moved to New Orleans for the funky, good living. Great guy. Makes, BY FAR, the best working-class, red sauce Southern Italian in the city of New Orleans. Veal parm, chicken parm, pasta -- amazing. fast, friendly service. Inexpensive. Just don't use the bathroom.
