Brownie's was opened by it's namesake in 1039 and sold to the present owners in the 1970's. Entering Brownie's is like stepping back in time and the largely blue collar clientele is almost like family.
The daily specials and home made soups are delicious. There is also a Friday 'all you can eat' fish fry that has been a tradition for many years.
The help is friendly and attentive and the prices are as modest as can be found. The breakfasts are especially good; I am partial to the ham & egg breakfast.
Any trip to Brownie's is akin to a visit to an old friend.
