a diner from New Orleans, LA
I have been to Bourre's several times for lunch the past month (Feb. 2009). It is under new management. The food tastes homemade and the wait staff is very attentive. The prices are reasonable for what you get, especially the seafood po-boys...they are very reasonably priced. Generous portions! If you like the feel of a neighborhood restaurant (e.g., Uptown New Orleans corner restaurant/bar), you will like Bourre's. Oh, and Bourre's has a live band on Friday nights; a Happy Hour every evening; and Lenten specials. Video poker is coming soon, too.
