Restaurant Description

Established in Newport Beach, Calif., in 1996, Bluewater Grill is founded on the rich history and traditions of local fishing forefathers, with a philosophy of working with local fisherman to source the globe for the highest-quality seafood in peak season. The restaurant works with renewable, sustainable fisheries to make sure it doesn't take more from nature than nature can handle.

Bluewater Grill's mission is to provide our guests with the highest quality seafood, classically prepared, at a fair price, in a friendly, casual atmosphere. We source the globe for the highest quality fresh seafood. We develop and maintain relationships with reputable seafood suppliers. We adhere to a daily ritual of controls and systems to ensure the integrity of our seafood. Situated in Southern California, we have two locations in Orange County ("the OC"), Newport Beach and "The District" in Tustin, and one in Redondo Beach on King Harbor. We are the perfect spot for a casual afternoon or evening combined with a trip to the beach, a stroll along the boardwalk, or a day out shopping. Bluewater is casual, fun, owner-operated, offers a kid's menu, oyster bar, patio dining and full bar with a great wine list. Bluewater Grill locations have comfortable lounge areas next to the bar that can be very useful for larger parties during the early evening hours. Come in an enjoy our legendary hospitality.

We hold monthly events comparing different types of seafood like wild vs. farmed salmon; cioppinno vs. bouillabaisse; east coast vs. west coast oysters, baked and steamed shellfish paired with comparable wine varieties from different regions. You decide which ones you like the best but they are all great!

Bluewater Grill can accommodate any size group for a casual or formal special event, reception, corporate event or wedding. Have your next event at our place.

there are actually three restaurants in the one building - the main restaurant, the sushi bar and the upstairs restaurant called "top of the market". The sushi bar is the best in town, hands down. The "top of the market" (open for dinner only) is excellent and one of the best places to go for seafood in Phoenix. The main restaurant however, is somewhat marginal. It seems overpriced (especially for lunch) and the selection of cooking methods is limited too. I wouldn't recommend their main restaurant (except for their New England clam chowder and sourdough bread).

We ate at the Fish market on Gilbert. If this is the same family of restraunts I find the previous reviews hard to believe. Service was great. Food was very good . The bill was reasonable. Look forward to going there again the next time we're in the area

Excellent appetizers and friendly service. BUT, our meal arrived at slightly above room temerature, my wife had my vegetables, she had mine and my fries and fish were stone cold and over-cooked, bread and butter was brought to our table mid way through the meal. By the time my fries were replaced, the waitress seemed surprised we were finished and waiting for the check. The waitress apologized repeatedly for these problems and in the end told us our coffee
was on the house.

If you sit at the bar upstairs, you can watch your food prepared and cooked in front of you. Great chefs w/ great personalities. They too deserved to be tipped !
