We've taken elderly friends out at least once a week for lunch for the last 7 years. That's when we moved to the Island.
We take most of our visitors there, too.
The menu is varied, the specials - always good value.
The Owners and staff they employ are attentive.
We think The Black Bear is our own personal "Cheers"

Excellent selection of pub foods and West Coast fare. Service is very friendly and prompt. The outside deck has the best view one could ask for and makes for an exceptional pleasant dining experience. Owners are great hosts. Now open from 11 am. My favorite pub on Vancouver Island.
