About Bella Sera Italian Grill
Bella Sera Italian Grill is a very reasonably priced, family owned and operated restaurant. Chef John Helbig and his wife Shari own the establishment. John has over 28 years of cooking and restaurant experience. John and Shari actually met in 1978 at this location when it was another establishment. John was the chef and Shari was the salad girl. Years later they are excited about returning and calling it their own.Bella Sera has something for everyone. Bella Sera offers an extensive diverse menu including salads, pizza, pastas, sandwiches, many entrees including chicken, steak and seafood. There are also several daily specials to choose from. We have the best toasted ravioli's in St. Louis! We also have wonderful house made desserts including hand dipped chocolate covered strawberries with Gold Brick chocolate - another St. Louis tradition.
Bella Sera specializes in banquets, parties, rehearsal dinners and catering. We have a spacious, separate beautiful banquet room available for large parties. John and Shari are committed to providing you with an awesome dining experience. We strive to deliver exceptional food and excellent service. Bella Sera was, without a doubt, one of the best casual restaurants we have ever been to. We ate here at least 3 times a month and NEVER had a bad meal. Unfortunately, they closed the restaurant at the end of July and had no immediate plans to open another one anytime soon. We sure miss them!

I too had an excellent experience at Bellas. You cannot underestimate the personal service and loyalty of a local family owner restaurant. Very refreshing. We will return. Try them. You'll love it

My Sicilian family came to be with us for Christmas. They wanted to eat out at an Italian restaurant. Although I had never been there, I took to Bella Sera. They know good Italian food. They gave the restaurant high praise. The chef was German, but an acomplished Italian chef. The service was exceptional.

I take my family there for dinner all the time. The Pizza is great, not the usual type of pizza but with a crunch crust and provolone cheese. My wife likes the chicken parmesan, & my favorite is hill pizza.

Bartolinos is my favorite place to eat and/or have drinks, also business lunches, or to socialize with friends. The owners are great,the staff is fantastic, and the food is excellent. The atmosphere is warm and inviting.
