Palatine Restaurant Guide

This is our favorite Italian restaurant - authentic food, good variety of dishes on the menu, always fresh fish, great atmosphere and very friendly. Great fresh pasta, and great desserts.

I just love this restaurant. I have been there 3 times and each time has been wonderful! The classic dishes are plentiful and tasteful! The cocktales were great too. I have been there with a group and as a couple and service was great each time.I will be returning regularly!

Food is consistently good. If you want authentic Italian food, this is your place to try. Wine selection good.

Barrella's has become our favorite suburban restaurant. If Rosie recommends a dish, be sure to order it! She has never steered us wrong. Also, she can recommend some fabulous wines and they are priced well (no 50% mark up here!). Be sure to order the red snapper when it is on the menu. It is fileted table-side and is fabulous!

We love Italian food to begin with. This place has great authentic Italian food ranging from simple pasta in various shapes and sizes over a variety of meat dishes to freshest fish dishes. Most of them are generous sized portions. Food is always fresh and tasty. I've had just about everything on the menu by now. Most of the time I end up ordering the daily special now. Every meal starts out with soup or salad (both great) and you can end the experience with a superb tiramisu as desert. Also if you don’t like an ingredient (e.g. fish), ask for chicken instead.

The staff is very attentive and helps create a welcoming family atmosphere.

Thursdays are fresh basil and tomato pizza night. It's to die for!
