Beware of the “Special”
I ordered the special, a “surf-and-turf” dish, Rib eye steak and Scallops with mushroom risotto. It sounded good! When I got me dish, there were three, count them three, small scallops. The risotto was terribly undercooked (it was still crunchy), the (medium-rare) steak I ordered was terribly overcooked (nothing even resembling pink color…anywhere), and the whole steak was hidden under, the best part of the dish, a cream sauce loaded with spinach. There was equally as much un-edible parts of the steak as there was edible! The dish was the second most expensive thing on the menu! So please do yourself a favor…stay away from the “let’s clean out the cooler” special!!

Austyn's was serving buffalo on the night that I and a friend had dinner there. It was my first taste of buffalo and it was delicious. All the food was wonderful and flavorful. It's a smallish restaurant with an intimate atmosphere. There's a full bar with a wide selection of wines. I would recommend this restaurant to any visitor or resident of Marietta, Ohio.
