We recently passed through Castle Rock on our way to Colo Springs to find a place for dinner. The old Victorian home caught our eye and we decided to stop and look at a menu. We were not sure we were dressed right for the atmosphere, but the hostess assured us we were fine and offered the back outdoor garden for dining if we would be more comfortable. To our surprise around the back of the building is one of the most beautiful dining patios we've encounterd in Colorado. We requested a seat by a brook and knew we had picked the right place immediately. Our waiter Cameron was an absolute delight! He suggested the Lamb and the Ahi Tuna and to our surprise the food was perfectly prepared and delicious. I also had escargot which can be difficult to find and my husband had a caesar salad. We shared a bread pudding at Cameron's suggestion and thought we had hit the jackpot. I wish we could have had more time to sit and enjoy a bottle of wine, but we had a ways to drive. This place was such an unexpected find in Castle Rock. We will always stop when traveling to and from the Springs. We give the Augustine Grill an A+ all the way around!
