We went to Annette's for breakfast in the off season and the food was OK but they were very nice to us and our little toddler so we decided to go back again for a second time. After my second visit, I will never go back again. We waited for someone to come take our order and they took the orders from several others who came in after us before coming to us. The pancakes and waffles were tasteless. The hash browns were too peppery. My child was upset because we had to wait so long for our food. The owner came over to us and told us that we were "not being fair to the other customers". Now, I know what is appropriate and what is not for a toddler in a restaurant and he was just a bit upset at the moment. We specifically went there because we thought they were kid friendly - which they are NOT. My friend who accompanied us to breakfast is never bothered by the little things and she specifically said they were very rude at this restaurant. The only thing good I can say about this restaurant is the price, but if the food and service isn't that good, why pay at all? We will not be going back!

This is the best neighborhood Chinese Restaurant by far in the Atlantic City area. Maybe there's someplace with better Chinese food in one of the Casinos. If so, it would be much more expensive. Lai Lai has an imaginative menu, much more extensive ...

They are just AWESOME!!!! My family has been going to them for 10 years...they have a catering business now too....my favorite? Lobster Fra Diablo...and those gigantic cookies they have. My husband LOVES the crab cakes.
