Our visit to this beautiful restaurant is always a pleasure. The food is presented beautifully and has such interesting variety that it is sometimes difficult to decide which item to choose. I grew up in Akron and so it is a real pleasure be able to come "home" to such a pleasant dining experience while visiting.

From the friendly staff to the well thought out menu choices, this was a first class dining experience. The food was delectable..hot, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Some standouts were the homemade dressings, bread and bread dip that comes with all meals, and the freshness of the seafood. The accompanying vegetables were done perfectly. My dining companions sampled from each others dinners and found all to be wonderful..we will hopefully be returning very soon. Who knew Akron had such a gem?

This restaurant is just beautiful and the staff is so friendly you feel right at home. They reopened under a new owner in January, 2010 and she has done a spectacular job of restoring this wonderful building. The Village of Akron is something to see too. Its right out of a Thomas Kincaid painting. We were so happy with the food and service we will be back again and again.

We couldn't have been more satisfied with the food and service. We don't get to Akron that often but we're glad we had the chance on September 11.

We recently went there with my family and I cannot tell you how wonderful the place is now. It was reopened by a woman in January 0f 2010 and it is gorgeous. The food was to die for and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. Don't let the striped walls and chandelair fool you! This is must on your dining schedule! The owner and staff are always smiling and knowledgeable and the chef even walks around checking on the customers satisifaction! Gorgeous and awesome food! The kids were even thrilled with the menu they have for them. I cant tell you enough about this newly reopened place!

We went for the Italian Buffet and enjoyed it very much. The food was so good we will be having our son's rehearsal dinner there soon. I liked the choices and the presentation was very good, the food serving area was wiped up frequently.

I live in the town of Newstead so we dont have many places to go to a nice dinner. The food here AH is not so good.We keep giving the Akron House another try. But every time we go our food is average. The drinks at the bar are made with low end liquer. The bartender does not know how to mix complicated drings. They just like to make gin n tonic. The menu needs to be updated with more a variety. We probally would go there weekly if the menu was better. We went to the Akron House 2 weeks ago. Not yet impressed.I Been there about 30 times in my life and it is always the same. Not so good.
A pretty classy place for a small town. Not expensive last time I was there. Good atmosphere. There is some history with that place too: Was there a presidential visit at the hotel? Anyhow, an all-around nice place for an extersion not far from Buffalo. (I hope Akron House will send me a buy one, get one free for this!).
