Stoppede in for lunch on a Wednesday at 11:30, and ordered the salad bar. The vegetable soup was homemade and very tasty-loaded with big chunks of vegetables in a tomato base. The salad bar had about 20 selections, including chicken salad, chocolate pudding, and homemade croutons. I only wish it was larger and offered a few more items.
The waitstaff was first rate, and the place was spotless. I cannot comment on the kid-friendly because there were no kids there when I ate.
They offer a seafood buffet on Fridays that includes the salad bar, for only $7.99. The waitress stated that includes shrimp, baked and fried fish, seafood lasagna, and their salad bar. For that price I will definitely be back.

BlackHawk appears on the outside to be an established restaurant that has been for years. The food is "ok" nothing great to recommend. Even a hamburger is average. The green beans came out of a can and the dinner rolls out of grocery store aisle.
