My husband and I were told by a friend that Pappy's was no longer a German restaurant, and that it's nightly specials were delicious... what an understatement!! This was, hands down, the BEST meal we have ever had in Panama City, and maybe anywhere else.. We ordered both specials, a chicken dish and a grouper dish, before even looking at the menu. These weren't your overdone Panama City specials either.. The chicken was served with a Gorgonzola sauce, and the grouper with angel hair, olives, tomatoes, and fresh basil. There were no dried herbs in this joint! Our waitress was sweet and charming. Everything about the food was extraordinary. The presentation was gorgeous, the food was cooked to perfection, and everything on the plate seemed to fit beautifully together.. We shared a creme brulee for dessert, and with each bite, we literally closed our eyes.. I highly recommend the new Pappy's, even though I'm tempted to keep it a secret so I won't have to start making dinner reservations a week in advance!!

New owner has completely remodeled and refurbished this family restaurant. Very clean. Food was excellent. Service was outstanding. Variety of selections.
