Restaurant Description

Our concept to the community is honesty and integrity. Values we adhere to when we prepare our food...With the freshest ingredients and friendly customer service.

Dolce Amore Cafe has been founded on the concept that there is no substitute for good tasting food presented beautifully with plentiful portions. Our dedication to this commitment over the years has been instrumental in our continuing success and ever growing reputation.

Wraps and salads are featured on the lunch menu along with specialty pizzas and pasta. The dinner menu offers a wide selection of savory appetizers and entrees, from the hearty beef Napoleon (London broil seared rare, layered with fried zucchini, roasted peppers, red onion, tomato, capers and shaved parmesan reggiano) to exotic fare such as farfalle aurora - bowtie pasta with jumbo shrimp, smoked ham, peas and spinach in a saffron cream sauce. Don't dine without checking out their extensive wine list for the perfect drink to accompany a delicious meal. Dolce Amore Cafe recently received "5 stars' for dining and service and "4 stars" for drinks in the Delray/Boynton Forum of the Sun-Sentinel in August 2008. Dolce will also cater your special event, whether it's a feast for two or 2,000. Please note: A private room (with seating for 80) is available for private parties.

went to Dolce Amore with 3 other middle-aged women and we had a $25 certificate from restaurant.com. At first, the waiter refused to accept the certificate because it was purchased more than a year ago, even though restaurant.com says that their certificates don't expire. Fortunately, I had purchased a newer certificate and they had to accept that one. Since we know that the portions at Dolce Amore are large, and we can't eat a lot, we decided to order 3 entrees and 2 salads. After taking our order back to the kitchen, our waiter came out and told us that there is a $6 "sharing" fee. I asked if it said that on the menu and he assured me that it did. Before leaving the restaurant, I looked at a menu and there was nothing on the menu about a sharing fee. I asked to see the manager and the owner came out from the kitchen with "an attitude." He said that no, it's not on the menu but it's HIS policy. All this plus the food was mediocre at best. I'll never go back to this restaurant, and I would advise others to stay away also.

Truly my favorite Italian restaurant in the area,
and I've been down here for many years. Atmosphere is charming, a little funky, easy parking, wonderful solicitous service, and fabulous food! After spending some time shopping on Atlantic Avenue, at the beach, or perhaps pre-theatre, it's just a delicious and relaxing experience. The diners are an eclectic bunch:
some very casual, others, less so, young, old,
hip, and not so... all share their delight in
finding such a great place!

The food is the best around. The portions and prices are great too. It's hidden in a corner of a plaza out west but worth the trip past all the other competition every time.
