The 356th Fighter Group has a fantastic new menu. We are regulars at the restaurant and just recently enjoyed the new menu featuring some really good steaks and my wife loved the Carmalized Salmon. A new chef Jeff Wagner took the helm last month and the food has really turned around. It used to be good but the New Chef has really added his culinary touch. My favorite dessert the chef makes is a chocolate peanut butter fudge pie. So rich and good. Bob the
owner also stopped by my table and checked on us. Give the Fighter Group another try if you haven't been there in a while. The service was very nice too.

The 356 is a great place to get away and watch the planes take off while you wait.

The pork chops are amzing and the place is very cozy. My husband the prime rib, I took a bite and it was to die for.

Try this restaurant and you will be pleased. The manager came over and asked how our meal was and we thought that was nice also.

Great Place!

We went to eat there last Friday. My first impression was that it looked dumpy and run-down. We had the Seafood buffet. I guess this is something new they are doing. The food was absolutley horrible. The only thing that was good was the fried shrimp. There were never any crablegs up there every time I went up. The ribs were probably the worst thing up there. The baked potatoes were even bad. (How can you mess up a potatoe!) All this for $23.00. When we complained they offered to give us money off the next time we came, which I didn't take because we are never going back.

I loved it. The people, the service. Everything came out on time, the food was awesome and the atmosphere was lovely. Me and my friends go out to eat here once a week and the only problem we've had is that there was not a window seat open at the time. great place, great food.

I had the unfortunate experience of making reservations for a surprise birthday party for my husband at the Mt. Pleasant 356. The reservations were at 7:00. Feeling that the rest of the party will have already been seated we arrived at 7:15. To my surprise they were all waiting to be seated STILL and when I inquired, was told the tables were not ready. (I had a party of 12, two of which did not make it). The person checking my guests in apparently was extremely rude about informing them that they would NOT be seated until 7:00, however obviously that did not happen anyway. Needless to say, the SURPRISE could not happen because my husband ran into everyone waiting to be seated. It is my opinion when a reservation is made at a particular time that table should be made ready well in advance. Finally we were seated at 7:38, drink orders taken, appetizers ordered and entrees ordered. An hour later the appetizers appeared. Cold. We put up with this and my guests did have another drink, what else was there to do. At 9:30 our entrees arrived. Cold!! That was it for my husband who told the wait person to take his meal back, it was cold, my guest who had been served by that time, said their meals were cold as well.

During this entire time, the manager never approached our table. I am sure the wait person informed the manager of our distress.

We felt we had no choice but to leave, which we did.

If you think of having a party here, Think twice, they ruined mine.

We also visited for the first time Easter Sunday and I didnt have any problems with the way the seating was set up. I even chatted with the fellow diners as well. I liked the fact that the food wasnt right on top of people it was centrally located. We were very pleased!

$19.95 per person (beverages additional charge) Easter dinner food was good but we were seated at cafeteria style crowded tables, the buffet was far from table, drinks were slow to be refilled, wait staff seemed spread thin, and the sound of the amount of people was so loud we could hardly hear the person next to us. Absolutely NO ambiance where we were seated and not worth the inflated price. Its nothing like a regular visit to the 356 on non-holiday in the main dining area. I wish I had known beforehand.

I think the ambience is better if you are near the windows to see outdoors to the airport.

We used to love to come here. On 2 separate occasions we had long wait times both outside and at the table, and poor food quality and service. They couldn't prepare a steak medium after 2 attempts. Instead of adjusting my bill after wasting my time, they gve me a coupon to come back. Please, I'll never go back again.

very disappointing.
