Ellijay Restaurant Guide

The 28 Main restaurant is a result of a life-long dream of owner, Darrell Campbell. Darrell grew up in rural Kentucky and as a very young teenager, he had a couple of dreams. He wanted to play major league baseball and own and operate a restaurant. After a very brief stint playing baseball in the minors with the Reds organization, he realized he would never support a family living his dream, so he continued to work in corporate America with a major railroad and worked for that company for nearly 25 years. He then started and operated several small businesses over the next 15 years or so but was never completely satisfied and just recently, he realized the reason he was not in peace was because he was still waiting to live his dream.

Well it happened!

Darrell has traveled extensively over the US ass well as the world and studied the different foods and styles and enjoyed this aspect of traveling more than anything else. to fine tune his skills, he has been under the watchful eye of a World Class Chef in Jacksonville, FL

With the support and assistance of family and friends, his dream is now alive and well.

A special tribute goes to his wife, Larinda, Kids (all of them), Grandkids and extended family in Georgia as well as his Mom, Brothers & Sisters in IN. Without your support, it would only be a dream in the mind of a 60 year old Kid!

Larinda has been the most supportive wife ever in the long hard road to fulfilling of this Dream!
