Hattiesburg Restaurant Guide

After trying a few other spots in Hattiesburg for brunch, it is clear 206 Front is by far the best. I've had brunch there about a half dozen times and have never been disappointed. Something I can't say for a few of the other Hattiesburg brunch staples.

206 Front is hip and upbeat. Pleasent staff and a very nice wine list. Some of our favorites include Sweet Potato Soup, venison tenderloin with cherry glaze and crab cake sandwich.

206 Front has beautiful decor, lovely art deco, etc. Food was sub-par at best (marinated shrimp and polenta arrived burnt beyond recognition); service was the WORST I have ever experienced in a higher-end, expensive restaurant. Drinks and bread that we ordered never arrived - after waiting for 45 minutes we asked for the check and the bread and drinks magically appeared. Our waitress assured us we would not be charged for the drinks; when we received the bill, we found that she DID charge us. Manager was rude and unapologetic. We will not be returning.
