My wife & I dine their frequently. The atmosphere is great, the staff has always been friendly, the food is not "Ruby" quality but it was never meant to be. The music is not "Vegas" quality...but it was never meant to. It's great little place with decent priced and quality food.

They have done WONDERS compared to the previous management.

This was the worse of the worse (dining) experiences ever! We decided to test the 'new management'(again) 20 Mile House since we had a coupon. It took 20 minutes after ordering to get our salad, at which time the waitress told us we could not use the coupon on the 'special'. It's ok, we said would use it later. 50 minutes after ordering, the waitress brought our food, but gave me crablegs instead of the salmon I had ordered. She said she messed up and would put my order in, but we said no since it was so late already. She offered me the crablegs anyway at no charge, so I accepted. A couple of minutes later (I took one bite) she came and said the manager said I could not have the crablegs, that he said they would fix my salmon. I refused and we asked to talk to this manager. He did not come to the table, so we went to the hostess and asked to talk to the manager 'now'. He came out defensive and rude saying he could not just give us the crablegs. My husband had a few words for him about the length of time we had already waited and now expecting me to wait again while my husband ate his food in fromnt of me. I said I would pay for the salads and coke that we had. The manager finally backed down and we walked out. My head is still spinning...unbelievable!

This place has real atmosphere! It has the largest
fireplace of any restaurant around. They generally
have good music especially on Thursdays and Saturdays. The staff is friendly. You cant really
compare this place to any other restaurant..its unique. The lunch specials are nicely priced too.
I love going there.

i can confidently say my night at 20 mile house was the worst night of my life. worse than the 6 months i did in jail. service was medicore, music wasn't fun or pleasant like i anticipated, food was expensive. the band didn't have much of a crowd either, kind of felt empty. but hey, maybe that's how this place does business. i don't recommend going here

I dined here two times. The first time was for a pint and an app. It was so-so. ON the second occasion I tried the Prime rib special. I was enjoying the salad when 1/2 way through my entree arrived and I had to push it to the side to have my entree. The rib was underseasoned and OK at best. I noticed the guest next to me enjoying some lovely buttery bread. Although I got the most expensive thing on themenu I was not offered any bread. The owner spent my entire dining experience chatting with the folks next to me and did not even check on me. I sat for nearly 20 minutes with an empty beer. During my meal, Gary, the restaurant manager was upset with the bartender about something and was free with his feeling and (unfortunately) his language. There were kids in the pub that night less than 15 feet away.
In general the restaurant is flailing. The menu is FULL of careless typos. The signs adorning the restaurant outside are carelessly displayed and the digital sign is just plain tacky...on such a lovely building.
Overall ...this is why restaurant success stats are what they are.

It is on it's way to failing. The owner has turned it over to someone else. The food hasn't gotten better and the service isn't great. Just don't bother. And who voted it the best new restaurant in Landan? I don't think anyone because it's the only new place in Landan.... and it's not the best at anything. Make it a museum!!

nice food, great staff, and a lot of fun! Love the bar area! Could see this as a fun place to be on the weekends, the new owners have done wonders with the place!

I have been there twice, both times times the service was really poor. The first time the server kept blaming it on the kitchen staff. I took us 15 min. just to get a drink, 30 min. to get our food after ordering. Almost everyones food was incorrect. 1 person ordered Fish broiled & received it fried. I ordered the Pork Chop dinner with broccoli & requested butter for my broccoli, I had to ask the waiter for it 2 times & received 20 min. after I was served. I also ordered French Onion soup & never did receive it. After about the 6th or 7th mess-up our waiter never came back, the sent someone else out to our table.
The 2nd time It was the same types of errors. I ordered the Pork Chops again, 15 Min later the waiter came back to our table to tell me that they were out of Pork Chops. I ended up ordering Chicken, which tasted very good but was so small it look like it had come from a small bird. I ordered French Onion soup & again did not receive it, I ask them to give it to me to go. It would have taken another 1/2 hour to get it taken off my bill. My mother had to ask for a to-go container 3 times before it was brought to her.
It is really ashame the food is good, everyone is polite but the service is really bad.

We had dinner here with about 30 other people. All meals were served at the same time, food was hot and the prime rib was excellant. Our server was helpful, attentive and really on the ball. We will definetly be back.

I have been there 3 times in the past several months --- I believe in second (and THIRD) chances.

It is dissappointing. The potential for a fantastic venue is present.

The first time, it took over 1 hour to get served the meal.

The second time, food was undercooked, various items on the menu were unavabilable.

The third time, my wife was served a sandwich with spoiled meat. The fish I ordered was served very undercooked --- actually, the thickest piece was raw in the middle. Upon pointing it out, we were promptly informed that "the cook was not able to work that evening" (????!) The service and management were friendly, polite and accomodating regarding this issue. Didn't change the undercooked/spoiled entres though.

We do NOT plan on going back. There is consistency of the food --- just not the right kind of consistency.

Aside from the problems stated, this kitchen better get its act together before someone gets ill from the apathy of the kitchen.

It is terribly unfortunate. This location, along with its local history and longevity, could be a fantastic venue. At this moment, given the experiences I have had, it is difficult to see that this will come to fruition.
