Seattle Night Life

Nightlife abounds in Seattle

The action doesn’t stop here when the sun goes down, which should be viewed at the waterfront. Not to be too conforming, the summer sunsets at times don’t occur in Seattle until 10 p.m. Along with the city’s diverse collection of cafes and ethnic and international restaurants are more traditional eateries such as the Cascadia Restaurant with its popular American regional dishes and seafood at The Brooklyn Seafood, Steak, & Oyster House. The consistent wintry weather means indoor activities are given great attention here, and that’s great news for music lovers. You can enjoy plenty of jazz, rock, alternative, and other genres in a variety of venues. Some of the best live music here isn’t in nightclubs, but in restaurants that feature more laid-back acoustic and instrumental styles. You can also visit the Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera, and Pacific Northwest Ballet. Seattle’s historic Pioneer Square offers art galleries, cafes, independently owned shops, nightclubs, and other sites in an area that’s home to 19th Century Romanesque Revival brick buildings. It’s a perfect place to stroll at night and enjoy the waterfall garden and the cobble-stoned Occidental Park. Other favorite spots for nighttime strolls include the Bell Street Pier and Myrtle Edwards Park. And there’s nothing like a nighttime ferry or carriage ride from the waterfront to truly experience this jewel of the Northwest.
