this is my favorite place to dine in a so called up scale restuarant. we get coupons for birthday and anniversary meals and so this is when we go! staff is always friendly and if you dont like something they will make it better... and yes they do give you a dessert for your birthday and anniversary!
I miss Steamers now that I live in Colorado! Wish we had something like it here but don't. Does anyone had a good recipe for the clam clowder so that we can look at old pictures and dream we are there? :)
Was a little disappointed in the view and size of the table. Felt rushed even though it was Monday Night. Server brought are main course even before we were done with our salad. Ask if we wanted it taken back, Duh! I enjoyed the Salmon, Medallions to spicey for my husband, drink was way too strong. ...
We took our son for his 13th birthday...(he wanted seafood, his fav.). So upon looking @ many reviews, we ended up here...and was so glad we did. The setting & view was wonderful. The service was fast and top-notch as far as I am concerned...all these Ivar's comparison(s)...poo-pah on that! Ambiance...
There isn't a restaurant in the South Sound whose level of quality compares to Stanley and Seafort's. The variety of dishes and their preparation is always a cut above. The seafood is dependably delicious, and the scallops are wonderful--one of the few places where they are available. Add to this t...
FORGET THIS PLACE -- IT IS NOT WORTH IT!! Compared to its sister restaurant Scott's 205th Bar and Grill this place is a dumping ground. Small portions, slow inattentive wait staff. Mostly a pretentious place not worth wasting your money on
Food ok. Compared to Ivar's = not nearly as fresh tasting and at least twice as expensive. Cleanliness level: B- Food tray was sticky; table not well cleaned. Service: Excellent Value: If you want a great view, it is A+. If you want great food and price, eat at Ivars.
Steamers is one of the finest restaurants in Tacoma or anywhere as far as that goes. The whole experience from ordering to paying the bill is handled well indeed. I can recommend Steamers to others who enjoy a fine seafood restaurant near the waters of Puget Sound. I have traveled the world over ...

I just had the Brunch this past weekend and I must say I was happily surprised with everything! It was well worth the price! The fresh fruit, assorted salads, crab legs, fresh oysters, carved ham, barron of beef, slow roasted pork lion, baked Mahi Mahi, roasted chicken in a mango salsa, smoked salm...
I am a young working professional and I take my dining as seriously as my work. I have never been more pleased with service, quality and pricing as I have been with Steamers. The manager Michael made sure to go out of his way and welcome me, shook my hand and served me up the BEST bowl of clam cho...
This is one of the best restaurant's in the area. On occasion, I have had a few items that did not meet my expectatons and when brought to the attention of the wait staff, they have been very kind, replaced, or offered to not charge for the item. Highly recommend you try the burnt cream. mmmmmmmm...
Tasteless, overpriced food prepared to look upscale. I would not send anyone here. A $7. salad worth, in my opinion, 50 cents. You know your getting hosed when the sauces are a fancy swirl on your plate. I spent $70. and left hungry after a drink, salad, main course and dessert. Never again. McDonal...
This is one of my very favorite places to eat. I live just up the hill and go there at least a couple times a month. Their scallops are particularly wonderful!
bad service, food was not terrible.
I loved it. The view of the bridge and the trees in the distance it was amszing. I wish they still had the parking out front but that was taken by the railroad. :(
The restaurant is one of my favorites for unique decor, ambiance and setting--however, the food is slightly below mediocre--the hamburger is lost in the bun, the fish and chips (the chips are either limp or to crisp--the fish is too breaded and crisp) the coffe is usually luke warm--I like the self s...
Recently ate here, always one of my favorite places, for the first time in a few months and found that they'd gotten rid of their fantastic one-of-a-kind chock-full-of-seafood red Seafood Stew & replaced it with a milky, gummy so-called Manhattan Clam Chowder (which it is not). PLEASE, everyone, te...
We have eaten at Steamers for several years, for the second time in a row our food was delivered cold. The french fries were hard from sitting under a heat lamp, not eatable. Is it under new management???? Gone way down hill.
We LOVE Steamers !!! Sure - the price is a little high, and its not going to win any awards for service - but, the food is very good, and the area is amazing.
great view and ok food but ...OH THE HIGH PRICE FOR what you get. Will go if I'm not paying! But never if if I'm looking for reasonable price and service.
