Picketts Charge Restaurant
It is, unfortunately, a growing rarity to find a nice, friendly locally run dining establishment. Strip mall gourmands flock to the predictable chains ordering up the pre-fab cuisine they see on TV. You know the ones: lobsters cracked open in succulent slow motion and people experiencing x-rated taste sensations, leaping in the air, etc.
I've noticed the slow demise of places like
"Pickett's Charge" and it makes me sad. To me, these places have personality. I LIKE the idea that you pull up to these family establishments
for the first time not knowing what the food will taste like until you try it. Yeah, I know, that's good and bad. But, I'd rather chance it than eat the same predictable shrimp fried in the same predictable grease...
