In general when dining, I know every experience can not be stellar every single time and this is of no fault of the restaurant. There are far to many variables at play with ANY establishment and that's not going to change regardless of how many people you know.
My personal experience at Old Stone has always been exceptional, I always felt well taken care of by the wait staff and left with a very full belly of some great tasting food.
Sure it's kinda pricey when compared to the local bars but not by that much and compared to the higher end restaurants in Charlotte they come in much cheaper, Lunch is very reasonable and if you can stand to eat dinner a little earlier you can catch the Early Bird special .. just don't get there...
