I'm originally from Texas and homesick for Tex-Mex, so when my friend told me that Margaritas was the best Mexican restaurant in town, I was excited. I realize now that Mississipians and Texans have very different tastes. The portions were big and priced low, but that's about all it had going for it. The food was so bland. The salsa tasted like nothing more than seasoned ketchup. You couldn't even see the onions or peppers. I had a beef burrito, and it was all beef. No onions, no peppers, no cumin, just salt & black pepper and very dry. I asked for verde salsa, and the waiter looked at me like I was speaking Chinese. When I explained I was looking for green salsa, I got an overly vinegary concoction with not even a hint o...
