Chicago Restaurant Guide & Dining Reviews

I've been to Morrison's at 81st and Ashland about 2 dozen times in less than 6 months. I was raised in the south and Morrison's is the real deal. I've tried almost everything they have and the worst that can be said is they need more servers to handle the 30-40 person line waiting when they're busy. Even then, it only takes about 30 minutes to get through the line. They do soul food righteously and serve it quickly.
To the person who felt rushed, how much longer do you want to stand in line?
As for 'attitude', they've been nothing but friendly to me every single time. I've taken family and friends there and we all agree there isn't a better place to get great soul food in heaping amounts at an excellent price.![]()
