I've gone to the Stow, Main St and Waterloo Parasson's and the food has always been very good and the prices make it a great value. The atmosphere is clean and nice. I don't agree with the person who says that you'll spend as much as the Olive Garden, to me that makes no sense. The Olive Garden is more expensive and yes, the food is very good there, but you pay a premium. The garlic bread is great - they keep it coming if you wish - and the pepperoni pizza is a treat - they crisp up the pepperonis - mmmm good.

We live in the Cleveland area but a couple times a year we travel to one of the Akron area locations as a treat. The kids love it. We're having my wife's & kids' birthday party there this weekend.

All I can say is try it, you'll like it. It's not a fancy restaurant but it's good food.

Took family of 5 out to dinner at Parrason's in Stow 6-3-10. First my husband ordered a beer and was warm then mgr. brought me my refill of coke...After a few sips my son who was sitting across from me sticks his fingers in my pop and pulls out a bag that crayons came in. Showed to waitress she just brought me a new pop. At this point we all quit drinking and eating...Mgr. said glass was clean when he filled it & didn't believe & he looked around the table for the crayons...I told him we had no crayons on the table. He left table for a few more minutes came back & FINALLY apoligized & took 50% off bill. I know some people do things, but I don't...I knew it was going to be over $60 for us to eat there, but if I didn't plan on spending that much I wouldn't have gone...I grew up going to Parrason's...Always loved it...Now the prices are so high and I don't like the change in the bread, or the fact they limit the amt. of bread that comes to the table..5 people 5 breads... I order the lasagna one time it was cold, but the sauce was hot... Once in a while I like to relive my childhood..If I go back it will be to a different location and will stir my glass of pop everywhere I go to see what I will find...

Have been going to Parassons for years and years. When it was owned by Tony it was a great deal and fun to go to. Now have your money ready for nothing more than a standard meal that you will walk away from saying "It was O.K." Prices have skyrocketed. Trust me you will spend the same amount at Olive Garden except that Olive Garden is 10 times better.
This is just an ordinary restaurant with high prices. If you do not mind spending top dollar for for an average meal....have at it!

I cannot imagine a better dining value anywhere else. My husband and I love to sit in a booth in the back room where the fireplace is and relax after work. We can each get a small size entree (they are still huge), an excellent house salad, the hot bread which is just fine, and even a glass of wine and get out of there for very little money. The staff is polite, prompt and the place is very clean. No, it's not gourmet Italian with a bill of $100 for two, but it is a satisfying meal on a busy day. We'll be back.

This was the place that everyone used to go to for dates or after football games. A large pizza was 6 or so dollars (cheese only). The garlic bread used to be split hotdog buns. Believe me, it was great. Now it is some kind of (I'm guessing because I buy it) frozen then re-heated Texas toast like you can buy at any grocery store. Prices have gone WAY up and it's generally just not the same. I am guessing someone else in the family took over and is trying only to make as much money as possible. Rarely go there now.

The food and atmosphere are nice, but it's just not the value it used to be. I never thought Parassons spaghetti would cost as much as Olive Garden. I do wish they would bring back their garlic bread from years ago. It was much longer and full of butter. Now, it's just texas toast. If getting carryout, use your own utensils, these plastic forks bend.

It is so nice after a long day of work to call ahead and have a wonderful meal waiting to be picked up instead of running through fast foods. Very good priceing. But....if you like tomatos on your Anti-Pasta Salad, only expect 4 slices. :)

You can always count on Parasson's for great Italian food at an affordable price! Being allergic to olive oil, I can get any type of pasta without the worry of becoming sick. Management and employees do a wonderful job. We'll keep coming back!

I really like this restaurant...the employees are all very nice...they have started even having the mngr come out to each individual table to introduce themselves and ask how everything is/was...Parassons use to be the best value for the money...lately they have(probibly out of necessity) gone up in price...maybe a little too much(I will think twice before heading back there as often as I did before)...But such is life.
I will say.."the service is excellent"...you are treated the way you want to be treated...carry out

This used to be a great value restaurant with a good bang for the buck and family friendly. Having recently upped most of their menu prices to $2.00 more per item is absurd. At these prices,
they lost us as regular long term customers.

I have been to 3 or 4 of their restaurants. Me and my family have been going there for 23 years, and they have never changed, which is what makes them so good. They have had the same sauce since I was little that I have always loved. It is so good. I always order the rigatoni with mushrooms. I love mushrooms, and they put so many of them on the rigatoni and then they cover it with their thick sauce. Yummmm. I love it! It has always been my favorite!

We went there yesterday Sept 8.It is fast ,family oriented restaurant.Portions are very large but for some reason I couldn't eat and neither could my husband. They could definitely use better tables and get some real napkins. We got a feeling that food had been frozen first. That is not a place you'd go to have a relaxing romantic dinner ,but it's the place you'd take your family to ,including crazy grandma , annoying cousins and all that. prices aren't cheap for the same price you can afford a very nice place with smaller portions you could actually enjoy than huge ones you end up not eating at all.
We are not going back.
Although the waiter and the staff were really super friendly and fast, suspiciously fast.

The food was very good - service was good - but the ambience needs improvement. The restaurant looks like rooms from an English castle - not an Italian villa.

Please open in Brunswick's Towne Center area!!!

I love Parassons. My family has been going there my whole life, and in fact I had some today for lunch. There's just something about Parassons tomato sauce.

Excellent choice of Italian eatery served by our very own U of Akron students and staff. Amazing service from waiters but the real magic happens in the kitchen, where the best Italian bread is prepared and served with a more than generous portion of food.

A staple of Akron Italian dining. Very good food at low prices. Portions are generous. Young wait staff can be disappointing. Worth a try!
