There's nothing like a properly cooked steak and Mitchum's delivers in spades. Morton's of Chicago and the other high end national steak houses while very good have nothing on Mitchum's.

From the moment you walk through the front door a gape into that wonderfully appointed dining area
you'll know you're in for a special evening.

I don't live any where near the Eastern Shore but whenever I'm say, within say a hundred miles Mitchum's becomes an automatic stop.

Is it pricey? Yes it is, but by golly there is value.

Beautiful interior structure, but very noisy. Very expensive for food that was not great. Lobster bisque was memorably awful at $8. My filet was requested medium rare, somewhat overcooked and, for some strange reason, was cut into thirds... very strange for a steak house. Other diners steaks ranged from poor to just OK. Service was quite good, but a little slow. The bill was just short of astronomical given the quality of the food.
