La Salsa in Carrollton is the best! My husband and I have been going together for dinner to La Salsa WEEKLY since they changed management over a year ago. Then we each go for lunch or after an evening meeting with friends once a week separately. We often say with amazement that we never get tired of it and have never had a bad service or food experience. Its all fresh! For example, the chicken there tastes like at some point it was part of a REAL clucking chicken and the salsa takes like FRESH cut garden grown tomatoes! Do you know what happens when you order guacamole? The chef actually cuts up a REAL avocado right then and there! (You can have it chunky or regular.) We always have the #41, chicken fajita quesadilla & instruct them to take out the onions and peppers and put in the pico de galla. (I dont like cooked onions.) We also get a large chunky guacamole, a small dish of cilantro, and a dish of sour cream. Then we split it all. DOUBLE YUM! For lunch I sometimes get a chunky guacamole, smother it in salsa and just eat it like that! And the margaritas! OMGosh! I get the Texas margarita on the rocks and it is the absolute best I have ever tasted. It's not too sweet and not too tart. It's just right. Dont even ask for the recipe, because the owner wont tell! To top it off, the flan is made every morning and is, again, perfect! The service has always been fantastic for us. The owner is friendly but doesn't hover. I can tell the waitresses are happy with their jobs. In warm weather we sometimes take our 2 dachshunds and sit outside. There's a fenced in porch with a gate to the parking lot. Then we walk on the walking trail in the back. There's a new fireplace on the porch for colder days. Can you tell? I really love it!
