In January of 2009, my husband and I went to Twin Mountains for our Anniversary dinner. I had always LOVED the filets there. I ordered one and it didnt even taste or look like filet meat. I took half of it home and threw it out. Did not eat but ab ...

The Waitstaff is RUDE as are the cashiers! The food is good but during these hard times paying customers in no way deserve to be treated so badly. I think ill take me hard earned money to Twin Mountain.
Steak House
We ate at twin mountain on 7-18-09. We ate ribeye and chicken fry. The ribeye was good and was a perfect size and cut. Chicken fry was perfect and tender. The service was really good. Will come back.

At @ TM last week (Sept 23, 2009). The Scraps were just as tasty and perfectly prepared as I remembered; bread was good, onion rings OK, pecan pie about average for West Texas (which is GOOD, don't get me wrong). But, the appearance and decor of the ...

Passing through Texas two friends and I ate there late june 2009. I thought the place could easily be in a third world country with the filthy, matted carpeting which looked as though it hadn't been changed or even cleaned since the l960's. The vin ...

I have eatten at Ichibans since it opened over 20 years. At least once a week but mostly 2 times. The food was always great but since the new owners took over, the quality has fallen to the floor. The new owners changed the recipes and now have changed from using butter to margarine, changing the flavor. by going the cheap route, they have lost a lot of business. I dont recomend it anymore. save your money

I have been going to Ichiban for years and have always loved the food. Even if the service was not so great, the food always was. WELL, I recentely at dinner there to find that they had changed their Teryaki sauce. It is DISGUSTING !! It is the same as Bonsai Garden : ( If I wanted theirs, I would go eat there.

We always went to Ichiban for a special night out and now I have to find a new place : (

The food is good but the management is poor. The owner's wife runs the place with an iron fist and walks all over her husband. My son worked for them. He was constantly called in for other people calling in sick and never said no.

They never said thank you but gave him additional responsibility as he proved he could handle it. They fired him recently without cause or explanation. He was devastated and left without making a scene. I will never eat there again.

FOOD WAS GREAT. SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE!
On Friday, October 17th my party had reservations at 8:30pm for a birthday celebration. Everyone was present on time but we were not seated. We were told, by the hostess, that a portion of the party before us arrived late and are subsequently still eating. Due to the time lapse, a member of our party was forced to leave immediately because she is an extreme diabetic and needed to eat right away. At 9:25 we were seated and we gave our drink and food order. 10:15 we were given our drinks and the chef arrived. We did not get our soup and salad until 10:35; which was right before our dinner was handed to us. **SIDE NOTE: The chef did an amazing job! If we could have paid him for the bill we would have. He was the only employee that deserved the money.** Several members of our party got up at numerous times during our visit requesting to speak to the manager. The hostess was very rude. She continuously rolled her eyes at us, spoke to us in a condescending manner as if we were inconveniencing her and refused to listen to our requests regarding the manager. After the meal was over, almost 11pm, a male member of our party demanded to speak to the manager. He finally spoke to the manager, the hostess and our waiter. The waiter cussed repeatedly at the member of our party. Told him that "He didn't know who the f**k anyone was. Perhaps we should have had name tags on." (Among other inappropriate things). Nothing was done to compensate their mistakes and poor customer service practices. The manager demanded payment. The manager never made an appearance to apologize to the rest of the party; she simply faded off into the back. The hostess also disappeared. The waiter walked around looking at the entire party with a threatening eye. We were told by another employee that they had been shut down before because of the same customer service problems. The entire experience was inappropriate, disrespectful, unbecoming of a thriving business, ridiculous, and absolutely incomprehensible. I frequently eat out and I have never had an experience that was horrible on this magnitude.

Having eaten there for the past 20 years, usually once a week, we have seen the restaurant maintain its originality from the original owner to the present. The waitresses have even memorized our "usual", so if we're late for our group, the food is still on time. This place is a "must do" if you're in the area!

Ichiban is a great place to go for lunch or dinner. The food is top notch and the service is always good. From teriaki chicken to steak and shrimp combos along with other authenic Japanese cuisine the choices are varied but not overwhelming. The chefs are what make Ichiban special. They are trained to put on a good show as well as make a taste tempting treat. Ichiban will impress you and your family or friends. Great for a business lunch with an out of town guest. Make sure to get reservations during the week as Ichiban stays busy most of the time. If you like oriental cuisine you'll love Ichiban.
