For the diner afficianado, this is one of the best little traditional diners in the City and is located within a spoon toss of the trendy East English Village and MorningSide neighborhoods (think tree-lined streets, hip, modest 1920s and 1930s homes). While not a black-tie facility, the "motherly" attention of the wait staff and the abundance of "regulars" make it like being at grandma's house (if gradma served diner food). Food is standard diner fare: Plan to drink lots of coffee and get your fill of pancakes, cheese sandwitches, BLTs, hamburgers, etc. Very hip in a retro, massively understated way. Great for breadfast.
